With its hard, nonporous surface, CaesarStone is simple to clean. In most cases, soap and water or a mild detergent are all it takes to maintain its luster. If necessary, use a nonabrasive cleaning product such as Method Daily Granite Polish or Method Daily Granite Surface Wipes. Nail polish should be removed with nail polish remover, while other adhered materials like food, gum, or dried paint can be scraped away with a plastic putty knife. Thoroughly rinse the surface with clean water to remove residue.
For stubborn stains or dried spills use a soft cloth with warm water and mild soap or detergent. If needed, apply common, nonabrasive household cleaners such as Soft Scrub® Liquid Gel with Bleach or Comet® Scratch Free Soft Cleanser Cream with Bleach. To avoid dulling the surface’s shine, make sure to use a nonabrasive cleaner and use circular strokes when applying any cleaner to the surface. Thoroughly rinse the surface with clean water after any cleaning agent is used and dry with a soft cloth. Honed, Textured and Motivo™ Finish Cleaning and Maintenance Honed and textured finishes require more daily maintenance than polished finishes. Since there is more exposed surface area, metal marks, fingerprints and other signs of daily living may be noticeable.
Most of these marks can easily be removed with little effort and cleaning products such as Soft Scrub® Liquid Gel with Bleach. Keep in Mind:
- CaesarStone is not indestructible; care and light maintenance are required to ensure the quality of the product.
- Cracks, chips, and dull spots can occur if the countertop is not cared for properly. Although fine cutlery will not harm CaesarStone, the use of a cutting board is recommended to prevent dulling.
