Selecting a Pattern
Room Size - Remember that lighter colors will make a smaller room appear larger, while darker colors will absorb the light and create a more intimate setting.
Pattern Size - Smaller patterns work well in small areas or in rooms where the pattern will be visually interrupted by pieces of furniture or a kitchen island. Larger patterns, however can sometimes visually expand a space.
Existing fabric or wallpaper – When coordinating with a printed fabric or wallpaper with a printed sheet vinyl floor remember:
If the fabric or wallpaper has a large scale pattern select smaller prints for the floor. If the fabric or wallpaper has a small scale pattern select larger prints for the floor.
Selecting a Gloss Level
Many products come with different gloss levels, primarily low, medium and high. For high traffic areas consider a low to medium gloss level for easier maintenance of daily wear and tear.
